Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor
The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of shipping, receiving, and warehousing team members within the Manufacturing Operations Department to ensure timely and accurate movement and storage of materials and products while maintaining an environment that focuses on the Knight Material Technologies How We Work Principles of Safety and Compliance, Customer Focus, Respect, Integrity, Problem Solvers, and Teamwork.

Reports to: Materials Manager
Exempt position
Job Location: On-site, East Canton, OH
Responsibilities:
Leads and maintains an environment that puts Safety and Compliance first.
Develops and maintains a team that prioritizes delivering consistent, high-quality products, continuously seeking out and implementing improvements.
Ensures on time completion of shipping and receiving tasks and accurate inventory management through tactical, hands-on leadership of team members.
Serves as the primary operational owner for international shipping and hazardous materials execution, escalating compliance or regulatory concerns to the Materials Manager as needed.
With the support of Materials Manager, ensures accountability across assigned team.
Communicates with and suggests to Materials Manager headcount requirements within the assigned area to support customer demand and company strategy.
Maximizes resource utilization by evaluating and enhancing processes, tools, technology, and human resource capabilities working closely with plant leadership to ensure success.
Utilizes and analyzes data from inventory and logistics systems for performance evaluation relevant to assigned area, ensuring any variance to plan is addressed and corrected for sustained success.
Plans, enacts, and ensures documentation of all training within assigned team.
Participates in the conversation for improvements to, replacements of, or additional warehouse equipment and logistics processes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
Uses front line presence and hands on approach to lead the team in developing control over outputs, increased capacity, and area sustainability with a strong sense of urgency to perform at a high level of excellence. 85% of time on the shop floor.
Works closely with Materials Manager, Production leadership, and Materials team to ensure logistics targets are met consistently.
Drive culture for ISO standards and ensure conformance throughout assigned team.
Drive 5s culture through assigned team.
Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Graduate or Relevant Experience.
